Photo of a nineteenth century artist, John Mix Stanley's work. This is thought to be a rendition of Mt. St. Helens as seen from the Hudson Bay Co. at Cowlitz Prairie after the 1857 eruption. The mountain looks authentic; doubt as to river and trees. This is being held by the Sanilac County Historical Society in Michigan and is to be auctioned. Donated by Julius Dudzinski of Carsonville, Michigan; Sanilac County.
