Description

Former all grade school (east school), built in 1889. After being moved in the summer of 1909 from "school block" downtown at Park and Pacific in Chehalis, WA to the block between 2nd and 3rd and McFadden & Cascade, it became the South Ward (8 grades) school until the Cascade School was built in 1921-22. The High School was discontinued in this school when the new high school was built in 1909 and opened that fall. Houses on 3rd street are visible, as well as houses on Cascade. ca. 1915.
