Planked Chehalis Avenue looking south on the left in Chehalis Livery Stable, next two or three are unknown but steeple on large building is the First Methodist Church on the southeast corner of Main and Chehalis Avenue. Across with two steeples is Eliza Saunders Barritt;e Grand Hotel, which became the Lewis County Courthouse, ca 1898. Coming further north is a private home, then barely visible is the first Baptist Church in Chehalis. Unknown identification on visible building which is hiding the Baptist Church is the Chehalis Rooms with store fronts. Photo ca 1895. Faded black and white photo.
