Picture of Centralia Pioneer Days published in the Chronicle 4/16/1966. ID: "Older Centralians who participated in the 1932 Pioneer Days celebration may remember this vehicle and some of the people it shows. It is an auto used to round up violators of a whiskers ordinance in effect during the three day celebration. Fred Rebis, far right, head of the 'Black Maria' picked up whiskerless celebrators and hauled them into kangaroo court for prosecution, usually a small fine. Far left, Bill Miggs, Sedley Dunning, kneeling. Locust St., Washington Park in background". Have negative.Collection
