The end of an era. Union Pacific Mikado #2280, the last UP Steam Locomotive in Centralia, WA waiting to leave on March 22, 1954. Frank Hansen, a boiler maker's helper in the roundhouse is standing beside her. For some reason, the exchange did not take place that afternoon, so the 2280 was returned to the roundhouse and left the following day.
