Mary Kiona, matriarch of the Taidnapam tribe and well known basket maker lived near Mary Kate Kelly in their later years. Mrs. Kelly (1891-1976) came from Ireland to the remote Kelly Homestead near Goat Creek (south of Cowlitz Falls). This photo was taken 1964.
