One of the boats that plied the Cowlitz River. This one is the "North West" and is near the boat rails from the drydock. Her maiden voyage was just before Christmas in 1889. It was 1350 feet long and drew only 11 inches of water when empty. Even at that they were not always able to make it to Toledo, WA in late summer or early fall when the river was low. It was sold in 1907 to the British Columbia Company. Have negative. Have slides.
