Creative minds went to work in August to turn this "bunch of Stuff" into a Carriage for these gorgeous ladies. Margaret Shields made the costumes. The Museum director was said to be clowning around a lot this year. This happy group was organized by Gene Bingaman to represent the museum in the Morton Jubilee Parade. Bob & Alma Nix added a little dazzle to the crew. The Mountaineers Band helped by playing on one of the floats. This unit was followed by the museum float and the Daughters of the Pioneers were there too, passing out pamphlets and inviting people to visit the museum. By the end of the parade, one truck broke down, so two new floats had to be constructed by the next day. The first day netted us a second place ribbon - the second day resulted in three trophies.
