Winifred Norman, Latimer’s granddaughter, recorded a family recollection about him: “GAR—He was very proud of his role here—He wore his uniform to meetings, where he was the Adjutant.” The uniform is adorned with decorative braiding and medals signifying his honorary affiliations.
