July 21, 1926
Dear Dr.,
Your husband was out here yesterday to dinner at the Normans', and he asked me to write to you. I said I would and now I am doing it; but what shall I write. It's a serious thing writing to another fellow's wife, and to say what you would wish to say without revealing more than is wise, is a difficult task. However, here I am telling you how sincerely I admire you for your devotion to your patients and many other sterling qualities,_
