Printed Material, (1 folder, 1900-ca. 1920): Embossed Marriage Certificate
Scope and Content
A printed exhibition catalogue and a related typescript belonging to Louise R. Latimer, both connected to an art exhibition held in 1922 by the Tanner Art League, an association of African American artists in Washington, DC. The documents highlight Louise Latimer’s involvement in Black cultural affairs during the era of the Harlem Renaissance, and the typescript is an important list of the home addresses and locations of African American artists working at that time.
