July 13
We are now at our last stop in Switzerland. We leave to Paris to-morrow. We are already beyond the region of German. Mrs. B. & myself have been trampoing over fields of snow, with snow falling at intervals, & walking over the ice of the everlasting glaciers. From now on we shall confine our adventures to the earth. We begin to feel the strain of travelling with children, & shall be glad to rest in England. Tom. [Liberty Hyde Bailey]
