A framed note accompanies the image that reads, "This picture of Dr. Bailey was framed and presented to the South Haven Public Schools by the Scott Club ladies, also the following trees were planted in Dr. Bailey's honor: Elm Tree: donated to club by Frank Galbrath and planted on school grounds on the north side of superior street near Broadway, under the supervision of Mr. L.B. Karr, teacher of Agriculture. Evergreen donated by Mrs. Julia Law and Mr. George Jillson, planted on Scott Club grounds. Spring of 1928. Mrs. Ralph Hall. Pres. of Scott Club."
