The spruce branch is 10 inches long, 3 inches in diameter and the other piece is 14 inches long. The sample was taken from an exposed bluff at Pilgrim Haven, four miles south of South Haven, Michigan. Radiocarbon dated, spruce is 11,000 years old.Other Names and Numbers
