Brass Civil War button with initials LLW on it. Belonged to Lewis L. Walker. Lewis L. Walker was a member of the 1st Maine Light Artillery. He enlisted December 18, 1861 at the age of 28. He was wounded in the right forearm July 13, 1863 and the arm later had to to amputated. He was discharged shortly after on August 31, 1863. He was born in Scarborough, Maine but lived in Lincoln County for much of his life.

Lewis L. Walker was born in Scarborough, Maine, either in 1832 or 1833. He enlisted in the 1st Maine Light Artillery when he was 18 years old on December 18, 1861. He was married at the time he enlisted. He was wounded on July 13, 1863 in the right forearm. His arm was later amputated. As a result of his wounds, he was discharged August 31, 1863. After the war he lived in various places in Lincoln County and worked as a fisherman. He died of intestinal disease February 2, 1926 in Edgecomb. He is buried in the New Harbor Cemetery in New Harbor, Maine.
