Description

Black quilted mourning hood. Purple silk lining the inside around the face. Remainder of inside is brown quilted. Purple stitching around ruffles on the outside of the hood surrounding the face. Purple stitches also along the edge of the two silk ties. Made by Evelyn Kidder Billings of Albion, Maine in 1858.
