Description

Federal, Sheraton style secretary bookcase. Upper case mahogany and paired mahogany veneer shutters below two upper doors containing glass panes with ogive arched tops. Lower case supported by turned legs. Front legs reeded. Mahogany with mahogany veneered drawer fronts for the three drawers of the lower case. Each of these drawers has cock beading. White pine secondary wood. Brasses new but reproduce federal period design. Interior of upper case contains slots for ledger books plus four small drawers with cherry drawer fronts and delicate loop brass pulls. All three lower case drawers have their original locks.
