Description

Union Veterans' Union encampment medal. Composed of three linked sections. Top section says "Delegate" and has image of capitol building. Second section says "Washington D.C." and is composed of a central shield with American flag design cover by a wreath. Shield is surrounding by six flags. Third section is star- shaped with date of encampment and years of war. The Union Veterans' Union was a smaller organization similar to the GAR.
