Description

Federal period rectangular mirror with an eglomise panel representing an eagle with outstretched wings. Cornice has stepped projecting corners and the entire cornice is decorated with 14 gilded balls attached to its continuous coved molding. Mirror is backed by a spruce board to protect the glass. The entire front surface of the mirror frame has been coated with plaster and gilded in gold leaf. A spiral patterned band is inset at center of sides and bottom.
