Description

Paper fan with 14 carved wooden sticks. Inlaid mirror nail heads on one side of sticks. Front of fan is hand painted, depicting six figures in eighteenth-century dress. Floral designs surrounding the figures. Silver embossing on top and bottom of leaves. Back side depicts a rural/pastoral landscape with a bird nest framed by oriental motifs. Metal scalloped pivot with mother of pearl pivot pin.
