Green German World War II army cap. Front of the cap has German eagle insignia with swastika and German cockade patch. Cap was originally produced by the Dutch for their military. When the Germans invaded they repurposed the cap for their own uses, adding the patches on the front. Hat was likely brought home from Europe by Daniel S. Pratt, who was a Staff Sergeant in the 9th Infantry Division during World War II.
