Description

GAR mourning ribbon/medal. Composed of two ribbons, one white and one black. White ribbon is shorter and has two raised and crossed flags on it. Hanging from white ribbon is circular button with image of Union soldiers. Top of pin has image of GAR membership ribbon. Black ribbon has gold fringe at the end and silver lettering of post information. Medal belonged to a member of Post No. 57 located in North Troy, Vermont.
