Wooden model of a three-masted down easter ship "State of Maine." Ebenezer Haggett Jr. of Haggett and Company built the original ship and launched it in 1878. The ship was involved in the Cape Horn trade of cargo including coal, lumber, salt, and guano. The ship was built in New Castle, Maine and its home port was Damariscotta.
