Volumes I and II are paged continuously and use a topical approach to presenting the historical development of the county. Both volumes have a full index for this part of the history. Volumes III and IV present biographical sketches of the major personalities in the counties history, but they are not arranged alphabetically. Only Volume IV has a comprehensive index for the biographies
