Soldiers of the 110th Machine Gun Battalion in a row in the snow. Individual soldiers are seated at machine guns, with two soldiers standing behind each gun. Five groups are visible. The photo was probably made near Charney-sur-Meuse, a village near Verdun and partially destroyed in the Meuse-Argonne offensive of September-November 11, 1918.
