Nurses, surgeons, and an anesthetist in a tile-lined operating room. Seven staff members are grouped around a patient on a white-painted iron operating table. On the left, a student nurse hands an implement to a surgeon. At the head of the table, the anesthetist sits, unmasked, in a shirt and tie. Two additional surgeons stand on the right; a student nurse, just outside the group, stands facing the camera without a mask. Implements are arranged on a draped table in the foreground; a large double-faucet porcelain sink on legs is against the left wall. Identified on back in ink: Surgeon Dr. A. M.
