Soldiers of the 110th Machine Gun Battalion in a row in the snow. Individual soldiers are seated at machine guns, with two soldiers standing behind each gun. Five groups are visible. The first group, closest to the camera are bent around the machine gun, examining it. The photo was probably made near Charney-sur-Meuse, a village near Verdun and partially destroyed in the Meuse-Argonne offensive of September-November 11, 1918. The 110th was part of the 29th Division.Photograph Details
