Snapshot photograph of a partially destroyed bridge. Paired footings remain in the water, while the decking or roadway dangle into the water. An abutment is visible on the far shore. Charney-sur-Meuse, a village near Verdun was partially destroyed in the Meuse-Argonne offensive of September-November 11, 1918.
