Description

Five African American workers in the kitchen of the University Hospital at Lombard and Green Streets, Baltimore. At left, two young Black women in white aprons stand behind tables with food and cooking implements. At center stand two Black men in white jackets and ties, probably waiters. One the right, a Black man in white toque, shirt, trousers, and apron, stands next to a table; another cook can just be seen on the other side of the table. Mixing paddles hang from a pipe armature over the table.
