Letter in file from: Jean M. (Eckman) Whaley, PO BOX 106, North Jackson, OH, March 11, 1996
To: Chamber of Commerce, City of Lorain, Attn. Historical Dept.
Enclosed are several snapshots from an album my mothers Mrs. Cecil Eckman (Helen) had salvaged from the fire which burned her home in 1976. She died in 1983 and I took possession of her memorabilia boxes.
Dad and Mother occasionally accompanied a local automobile dealer to Detroit to pick up and return new cars to the dealership in Niles, Ohio. It was on one of these trips in 1924 that they took these pictures with Mother's old "Brownie" camera., which I still have.
Rather than throw them away, I am sending them to you to do with as you wish.Acquisition
