Notebook from 1930 Dr. Otto Mikolanda Typed reference index for treatment/information for different ailments and diseases. Under H for herbs, there are some interesting "home" treatments with herb mixtures for treating certain conditions.

Context

Capt. Otto Mikolanda (b. 1881 in Czechoslovakia), a Lorain surgeon, was in attendance at Treaty of Versailles peace conference who was used as a translator. (he was a physician and surgeon at St. Joseph’s Hospital from 1915-1959). During the war, he worked in army hospitals treating patients inflicted by wounds from the war. In an article from the Lorain Times-Herald, Mikolanda talks about how he had grown more fond of America since moving there and was quoted after the war as saying that “the best thing in the world to him would be the sight of Lorain friends and Broadway.” - from the WWI tour at the Moore House script, 2018.
