Scope and Content

Interview conducted with Mr. Eduardo "Edwin" Santos over email in February 2023. Mr. Santos was born in Puerto Rico, moved to Lorain, Ohio at the age of 8, and moved back to Puerto Rico during his junior year of high school. Mr. Santos joined the U.S. Coast Guard in 1972 shortly after moving back to Puerto Rico. Though he formally retired from the military in 1995, Mr. Santos continued working as a security specialist for the U.S.C.G in a civilian position until 2006.
