Description

Photo of Ralph DeJesus' sergeant looking inside one of two large boxes at the Landing Zone in Vietnam. The boxes contained a generator and a freezer. The Landing Zone was also known as "LZ Nancy" and "Firebase," and was approximately 9 miles from Vietnam's Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). Vietnamese people who surrendered came up to the Landing Zone and hid behind these boxes. Mr. DeJesus was in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
