Scope and Content

Katie Rowser and her late husband Joe Rowser, Sr. started Lorain Window & Carpet Cleaning in 1975, initially only cleaning windows. A year later, the company added carpet cleaning services. In subsequent years, upholstery cleaning and janitorial services were added. The company grew in its initial years and continues to provide window, carpet and janitorial services today. This photo of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Sr. and Katie Rowser was taken in April of 2007 at the annual event of the Lorain chapter of Negro Business and Professional Women's Club, where they were honored with a Business Award.
