Oral history interview with Michael Stockton (part 1). Michael Stockton, a member of the Lorain High School Class of 1960 1b, shared his background and experiences. Born in Monticello, Arkansas, Michael's family moved to Lorain, Ohio, for a better life. His father worked in the oil exploration crew during WWII and later as a die setter at Pruhoff Trailer Company. Michael attended various schools, including Irving, Longfellow, and Lorain High School. He played basketball in the industrial league and worked at Hot Waters, a bait shop. Michael initially wanted to be a history teacher but shifted to geology after a class at Kent State. He was drafted into the Air Force due to the draft board's perception of his education.
