Description

Colored pencil depiction of the coke plant at US Steel, Lorain, OH; artwork is in a wooden frame measuring 31 x 25.75 inches. The actual painting measures 29.5 x 19.75 inches. Plexi-glass covered in a faux oak frame, matted in black and white (not professionally done). Picture includes two men in green USS jackets with a backdrop of the coke plant, stacks billowing smoke, a heliocopter overhead against a blue sky.

The original artwork was done by a Lorain man, Mr. James Pye and donated to LHS by his wife, Mrs. Martha Pye. She first tried to donate it to Lorain Arts Council and Antonio brought it to LHS.
