Photo of Victor Ceja during the Korean War. Mr. Ceja served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He is wearing his uniform and crouched down next to his rifle. Mr. Ceja and a few other Marines had a Sunday afternoon off and decided to take photos of each other to send home to family members. Mr. Ceja was 19 years old when this photo was taken.
Mr. Ceja was stationed with an ordinance company 4 miles south of the Yellow River in Korea. The ordinance company had approximately 120 people. Mr. Ceja lived in a tent with 7 other Marines. A few of his tent-mates were from Samoa and Germany.Collection
