Scope and Content

This is a program booklet from the Potentate's Ball of the Masonic Al Lalim Temple No. 223 which took place Oct 5, 2002. The Al Lalim Temple No. 223 were members of the Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Ohio, Free and Accepted Masons. Prince Hall Freemasonry is a branch of Freemasonry for African Americans founded by Prince Hall on September 29, 1784. On the cover of the program is a photo of Gaylord T. Francis who was being honored. The booklet belonged to Mary Kay Bruce, who attended the event and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star (another Masonic organization).
