U. S. Veterans of Foreign Wars - Department of Ohio, June 26-28, 1930. 10th annual encampment
The pin is made of a dark metal (although the back is made of a lighter looking silver metal so I'm not sure if the darker look on the front is the way it was made of the patina/age of the item). The front has two parts. The top part of the metal says "Lorain Ohio" and " Where Coal and Iron Meet". It depicts a ship, a bucket with iron being poured out, a factory with smoke coming out of the smokestacks?, and 3 tubes in the top righthand corner (not sure what they are but guess would be they are representing the coal?). The middle of the pin is not made of metal but is made of red, white, and blue ribbon. The bottom part of the pin is in the shape of the state of Ohio. It reads "10th Annual Encampment June 26-28 1930 Department of Ohio". In the middle it has a circular logo in the middle of another design. The circle contains the American eagle and around the circle it reads " The United States Veterans of Foreign Wars". The back is made up of the same material but it is smooth (no lettering or designs on the back of it).Acquisition
