A collection of information highlighting the untold stories of the Lorain (Ohio) African- American Community. A 'History Unveiled Presentation', also known as 'The Hidden History Project' was hosted by Les Charmettes Club and held at the Lorain Historical Society Carnegie Center. It was dedicated to Darlene Brown, journalist and historian with the Morning Journal (newspaper) and research was based on her family's history - the descendants of Milton Poet. The project was in collaboration with Mr. White's Lorain History Class at Lorain High School (?). The students researched African-American residents, businesses and organizations in Lorain County with 1905 Census for the City of Lorain as the source document for the initial research.Collection
