Description

This button is circular and has a white background that is faded. It is made by Novelty Button Co, Canton, OH - and in black (fading to gray) lettering it reads "I believe it is a good deal better to open up the mills of the United States to the Labor of America than to open up the mints of the United States to the silver of the world". In the middle is a picture of McKinley himself in a rocking chair out on his porch. He is wearing a black hat, is dressed in black garments and is holding a newspaper. The behind him can be seen a little bit and appears to be white and has a white pillar. On the bottom of the pin (the front side) underneath the picture it reads "McKinley at Home". On the back it reads in blue lettering, "Novelty Button Co. Canton, O. Copyrighted."
