Photograph is black and white view of hearse in front of Lorain High School, 620 Washington Avenue. Lorain High School was used as a temporary morgue after the 1924 Tornado.
Written on back of photograph: Hearse at L/H/S June 24 (Bldg. was used as temp. morgue).
NOTE IN FILE: Seventy eight people were killed in the tornado that day. Most deaths came from the State Theatre, and the next highest was from the Bath House. The Lorain High School was used as a hospital and morgue. Pictured above is a hearse in use that day.
