Oral history interview with Angelo Capetillo. Angelo is Puerto Rican. He was born and raised in South Lorain. He joined the Marine Corps alongside his childhood friend, Arvin Morell. They completed boot camp together at Parris Island, South Carolina. Angelo graduated #1 from his boot camp class. Angelo served in the U.S. Marine Corps between 1980 and 1984. He was a reservist in 1980 and again between 1984 and 1986. Angelo was predominantly stationed at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina but spent two years in Japan. He was initially in the motor pool but became a marksman instructor later in his service.Collection
