James Abel, a member of the Lorain High School Class of 1961, shared his life story, starting with his Hungarian grandparents' immigration to the U.S. and his father's work in the railroad and US Steel. James recounted his military service, including his role in aircraft maintenance during the Cuban Missile Crisis and Vietnam War, and his subsequent career in sales with Bosch Corporation. He discussed his experiences in the Lorain County Sheriff's Department, his education at Ohio University, and his current work as a substitute teacher in Colorado.
