After his oral history interview, Mr. Mathias Dunlap speaks about some racially segregated establishments in Lorain during his childhood. He tells the story of walking home from the Neighborhood House as a teenager with his very ethnically diverse group of friends, and how the group separated when they reached Maxine's on Vine Street, a small diner that did not welcome Black patrons.
