Family photograph of Nicola and Virginia DiBenedetto. They were both from Pizzoni, Italy and came to Lorain in the 1890s. They married in Italy before coming to America. The children: Mary (the oldest, tall in the back); Philomena "Fanny" (left of Virginia, died at 46 giving birth to 6th child); Rita (right of Virginia, got TB and was sickly in life, lived until in her 50s); Antoinette "Toni" (youngest, 3 years old, Donor Kathy's mother).
Nicola "Nick" began his 52nd year employed at the Lorain Docks of the C.L. & W. Railroad Company in 1949.Acquisition
