Oral history interview with Michael Stockton (part 2).
Michael Stockton, a member of the Lorain High School Class of 1960 1b and a Vietnam War veteran, discussed his journey from student teaching at Longfellow Junior High School to being drafted into military service. Despite failing the Navy physical due to low blood pressure, he joined the Air Force, undergoing basic training at Lackland Air Force Base and Officer Training School. He became a navigator, serving in various locations including Southeast Asia and Beale Air Force Base. Stockton also taught management and statistics at multiple colleges. He retired after 21 years in the military, dealing with prostate cancer linked to Agent Orange exposure. He now enjoys gardening and building fishing rods.Collection
