Context
Doris Pye went to Deacon Montgomery to start a community garden. He came back and the people said they should do this. Martha Pye contacted the Lorain City Street Department and they tilled the soil on the vacant lot between 12th and 13th Streets by Second Baptist. Second Baptist got seeds and the community garden began.
