Private Lowell Green was from Burlington, Ontario. He volunteered for Active Service with the Lorne Scots in May of 1941. He was promoted to the rank of Corporal in October of 1941. He was posted to No 10 Defence Platoon. This platoon was disbanded when the 4th Division became an Armoured Division in 1942. Corporal Green reverted to the Rank of Private in 1944 when he transferred to the 1st Canadian Corps Defence Company. He served with the Company until the end of the war. He was demobilized in the fall of 1945 and received a Mention in Despatches in the January 1946 Honours list. He passed away in Burlington in 1988.
