The Battle Dress Blouse, often referred to as simply Battledress, was the working and field uniform worn by Canadian, Commonwealth and Imperial forces from the late 1930s until the 1960s. The battledress was worn by officers and other ranks alike.Context
Canadian Battledress was issued in several patterns between the late 1930's and the late 1960's when it was taken out of service. This jacket is the 1949 pattern, which can be distinguished by the buttonhole in the left lapel and the open collar design.
